Ms. Jennifer Bryan, Principal
Jennifer Bryan is proud to serve as the principal of Starside Elementary since 2026 and is committed to ensuring that every Comet has the opportunity to succeed and reach their fullest potential.
Ms. Bryan began her career in education in 2006. She served students and families in Wichita, Kansas, for four years, Kansas City, Kansas, for 14 years, and Leavenworth, Kansas, for two years. Her diverse educational experience includes serving as a paraeducator, classroom teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, associate principal, and principal.
Ms. Bryan earned a Master of Science in School Leadership from Baker University, a Bachelor of Science from Wichita State University, and an Associate of Science from Garden City Community College. Her dedication to education has been recognized through several honors, including a Good Apple Award nomination in 2006 and a Teacher of the Year nomination in 2013.
Outside of school, Ms. Bryan enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and animals. An avid sports fan, she enjoys both watching and playing a variety of sports.
Ms. Gina Blessing, Building Coordinator
Gina Blessing joined USD 232 in 2026 as the building coordinator at Starside Elementary.
Ms. Blessing began her career teaching in Jacksonville, Florida, before returning to Kansas to teach in the Blue Valley School District. After several years in public education, Ms. Blessing continued her passion for teaching by operating an in-home preschool program, where she provided high-quality early childhood education, partnered closely with families, and prepared young learners for kindergarten. She returned to public education in 2021 as a classroom teacher in the Olathe School District.
Ms. Blessing has a Master of Science in Montessori Education from Barry University, a School Leadership Certification from Baker University, and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Pittsburg State University.
Outside of school, Ms. Blessing enjoys serving her community and spending time with her family and friends. She especially loves making memories with her two boys, whether cheering them on at their activities, exploring new adventures together, or simply enjoying quality time as a family.
